We had a fantastic Saturday at Ontoawinnner notching up 2 winners from 4 runners on the day.
London Protocol headed to France to compete in Qatar Grand Handicap des Milers over 1 mile on the Polytrack. Tony Piccone was aboard Karl Burke trained 4 year old for the valuable contest run at the picturesque Chantilly track.
Tony bounced London from a good draw and showed tremendous character to lead from pillar to post and pick up over £28 k in prize money for his owners along with French Premiums. He has a fantastic record when running on French soil and Karl has done a fantastic job in targeting his races. He is top of the prize money standings for the Ontoawinner team this year, what a fantastic horse for his owners.
Next up was Crown Vallary. Again Tony was aboard the Karl Burke runner. She had to overcome a wide drawn in the big field to be prominent. This took its toll late on and she faded a bit finishing 8th. She is a nice type and hopefully we can get another win into her before the season draws to a close.
Flying Pursuit was up next. He ran in the very competitive feature race at Ripon over 6 furlongs with Rachel Richardson aboard the Tim Easterby trained gelding. Rachel bounced him out and he showed his usual good attitude to take the lead stands side. As the race unfolded, the far side looked to have the advantage as Flying pulled clear of his rivals on his side. Rachel gave him another fantastically judged ride to win. This was the 3rd win in 5 starts for Rachel and Flying. Running off a mark of 96 yesterday, he is a horse that is improving with age and always holds a lively chance when he gets his conditions.

Finally, Brex Drago ran in a very competitive race at Chemsford with Danny Muscutt taking the mount on the Marco Botti trained runner. He was held up and couldn’t land a blow. This was his first run for some time and Marco reported he had a good blow afterwards. He will be a nice horse running in valuable races on the all-weather over the winter months.
