Sygnature ran at Wolverhamptonon Thursday in the 1 mile 1 1/2 furlong handicap. Ridden by Robert Winston he ran really well back from a break of over 250 days. Sygnature was up forcing the pace for much of the race and raced a little too keenly for his own good. He led just until inside the final furlong when his earlier efforts took its toll and he was passed by some of the field but kept on to finish 6th, beaten 7 lengths. Unsaddling Robert said that he would be fitter next time and believed he would be competitive at around this level and was more than capable of winning a race.

Mitchells Way ran at Kelso on Sunday in the 2 mile 6 furlong novice hurdle. He was ridden as usual by Fearghal Davis. The ground looked very sticky and tiring and Mitchells Way was prominent throughout the first circuit but started to drop behind the leaders on the final circuit and throughout the race he never jumped with his usual accuracy and fluency, rapping the top of several hurdles. Turning for home it looked like he might catch the third horse but up the home straight Fearghal accepted the situation and allowed him to come home in 4th place. He will wait for better ground now.

File And Paint ran at Wolverhamptonon Sunday in the 7 furlong handicap. She was ridden by Eddie Ahern. She travelled in third place for much of the race and turning for home looked to be going best of the field. Eddie pushed File and Paint into the lead but was quickly challenged on both sides by the closing pack. She suffered some interference as another horse came across her and Eddie had to stop riding. He managed to get her rolling again but her chance had gone and she finished in 6th place.
