All Roads Lead To Ayr

OnToAWinner towers waited with bated breath to see if Ayr would go ahead, to our delight it does. It will be heavy and any race winner will need to handle the conditions.

We run Yourartisonfire today in the 2 year old nursery over 6 furlongs, Mike Metcalfe  takes the ride. It’s a very competitive race as you would expect at Ayr’s feature fixture. He has won on soft and we think he will handle the conditions. Reading Richard Faheys column in The Sporting Life, he is sweet on the chances of Majestic Moon, it looks as though he is the horse everyone has to beat.

The old boy Sphinx is in his last season, he is now 14 years young, what a servent he has been for Edwin and it would be fantastic if he could run a big race in his favourite conditions, he loves Ayr. Come on Old Boy.

If racing goes ahead tomorrow, we have Fast Shot lining up in the Silver Cup. He is drawn in stall 3, David Allan takes the ride. The big sprints at Ayr are difficult to say the least, he will relish conditions and with a bit of luck he can run a good race.

We finish the weekend by running Angels Calling at Hamilton, a winner last time out and maybe more to come.

Good luck to all of our owners and have a great weekend
