July 2nd – Carlisle

I’ve awoken to the dentist report on the door mat – ‘good patient, no issues, £40’. It’s a retired racehorse’s world, isn’t it? Quiet Times had a busy week at home – Monday, Blacksmith; Tuesday play with next door’s coloured pony; Wednesday Monitor Straw Delivery; Thursday Sunbathing ; Friday Dentist. He deserves it – 12 wins, Dubai Carnival attendee, 2 Saturday CH4 race wins……….thats my boy. Now on with the search for his replacement.

I’m going to skip these paddocks out now, make a few calls and head for Carlisle. Fazza runs in our syndicate colours for the first time this evening in the feature race at Carlisle. It looks a good handicap for the excellent prizemoney put up by Stobarts. This is a grand tough horse. We’re against real good professionals tonight but our lad should go well. I notice he’s an each way
price so thats more than fair.

Fast Shot may run during the week and we’ll have a new syndicate addition this coming week.
