July Review

July 2019 has seen the Yellow and White Silks of Ontoawinner win 5 races this month, with many others running big races in some very nice races!

Never in Paris got us off the mark for July when winning a nice novice race on debut at Nottingham, beating horses who had already run and won! She looks a nice prospect for the future, having run a decent race in the Weatherby’s Super Sprint on only her 2nd start! She looks nice!

Pinarella followed her by winning for the first time in her career at Ripon, never giving up, the filly won nicely in the end to break her maiden in good style! A mention has to go to Midge Mullen for his patience to walk her all the way to the start! Hopefully there is more to come!

After only a few days, the Yellow and White Silks had another winner on the board with Corinthia Knight winning the highlight race of Pontefract’s night meeting on the 19th July; winning his first race on turf, the gelding proved he isn’t just an All-weather performer and gave his owners another fantastic day out! He’s been some horse for us!

Compton’s Finale made a winning trip from Ireland to Scotland to break his maiden in good style, having knocked on the door several times in his career, the Compton’s Place Gelding deserved his success on the big screen at Ayr! Hopefully there is more to come!

The final winner of the month came in the form of our Wow Signal filly, Space Ace! Having been 2nd and 3rd in her first two starts, the filly took the step up to 7 furlongs in her stride very well when winning the novice race at Lingfield on the 24th July! She looks a filly with a nice future, having not been out of the first three in all her starts!

Outside of first spot, we have had several horses run very big races throughout July, keeping the Yellow and White Silks on the big screen!

First and foremost a mention has to go to the Showcasing Colt Show Me Show Me, the Colt lined up in the ultra fast Weatherby’s Super Sprint and ran an absolute stormer to finish 2nd, only beaten a head! Some performance for a Colt that has been on the go since the first two year old race of the year! He then lined up in the very fast Group 3 Molecomb Stakes, running a stormer to finish 2nd! He’s been some horse already at just £24,000 as a yearling and there should be more to come!

Staxton lined up in the Scottish Stewards Cup at Hamilton on the 19th July; The Equiano Gelding was trying to follow up his victory at Newcastle on Plate day! Having found the dip a little too lively, he picked up nicely to finish 3rd in a very good renewal of the big Sprint! He looks to be improving for his owners, and is one to look forward to!

It was then the turn of Lady Calcaria who lined in a competitive handicap on the Friday of York’s July meeting. The Mayson Filly didn’t have everything in her favour but ran a cracker of a race to finish 2nd at the biggest track in Yorkshire! She looks to have a nice future for her owners, we haven’t seen the best of her yet!

The day after; it was the turn of Praxidice to run a huge race at the Knavesmire, the Toronado filly showed great attitude to grab 3rd in a competitive handicap! Her turn in the winners enclosure surely isn’t far away!

Many other of our horses ran great races too, notably: Little India, Suitcase n Taxi, Dandy Highwayman, Brutalab & Our Charlie Brown; Surely all of these horse aren’t far away from a win!

It’s been a good month for Ontoawinner, with a lot of our horses showing nice form! It won’t be long before the winners flow and we have a 10 winner month!

Thanks for your Support as always! Thank you to all the Trainers, Jockeys and staff at all the yards who makes this possible!

Kind Regards
The OntoaWinner Team
