Mitchells Way wins at Carlisle 12th November

Mitchells Way ran in the Class 4 Novice hurdle today at Carlisle over 2 mile 3 & a half furlongs. His usual partner Fearghal Davis was aboard the Alan Swinbank trained 5 year old.

The conditions were described as soft and from the off , Fearghal chose to ride Mitchells Way more prominently than usual, keeping him a neck off the leader for the most part.

At 4 out, Fearghal decided to take up the running and asked Mitchells Way to go on, at this point Mitchells Way and the eventual runner up  – Snowed In looked to be travelling best of all.

Approaching the last it looked as though the runner up would make a bold bid to go up the rail but as all good jockeys do, Fearghal closed off this option promptly. Mitchells Way battled on and won bravely by a length.

This was his 10th start and having finished 2nd on 3 of those outings , this was a well-deserved success for all involved.

Congratulations to all of his owners and we hope he can go on from this and give you more good days out.

The trophy was collected by Mr and Mrs John Mein, having their 1st win as racehorse owners.

Well done to all. Enjoy….
