Star of Emeraaty 2nd at Haydock

Our most recent recruit – Star of Emeraaty made a very pleasing debut today at Haydock, finishing second in a competitive event over 6 furlongs.

The Kevin Ryan trained newcomer bounced well from the stalls to grab the rail. She led for the most part until the eventual winner – Golden Melody asserted in the final furlong to win. Our filly was headed and battled back gamely to grab second. She will improve hugely from that run and looks a very nice type for the season ahead.

Elsewhere this weekend, Comptons Finale ran a solid race at Newcastle to finish 3rd under Ben Curtis. He was slow away from the stalls and was always playing catch up but finished his race well to grab a place. He is on a workable mark and will benefit from the run. He will be out on the grass in the coming weeks.

Bilandy, making her debut for Tom Ward got upset in the stalls and the race was over before it began. It was unusual as she is a filly with a good temperament but is still a baby. We can put a line through that run and look forward to her showing what she does at home.

Suitcase N’Taxi also ran on the Newcastle card. He ran very freely in the early stages and it cost him late on when he faded. He won 4 on the bounce from October last year and will benefit from the run.
