Teds Brother wins at Hamilton

Ted’s Brother ran at Hamilton on Sunday in the one mile 0-75 handicap with Connor Beasley riding taking 3lbs off.

Drawn in stall 3 Ted’s Brother broke well from the stalls and Connor settled the horse in third place behind the strong early pace that was being set by two horses up front. The leaders had a good couple of lengths advantage over Ted’s Brother as they made their way down the hill towards the final four furlongs.

Connor kept his cool and let Ted’s find his own rhythm and as one of the leaders begun to slow Connor angled Ted’s Brother out to get a run. Around two furlongs from home Ted’s Brother was still travelling nicely and Connor let Ted join and then go past the leader.

Ted’s went clear by a couple of lengths and then it was down to guts and determination as Connor kept the horse going inside the final furlong.  Ted idled a fraction on the run towards the line but nothing from the chasing pack posed any real danger and he won by two lengths.

Winner number 11 of 2014 – Superb!
