The Ferick at Towcester

The Ferick made his racecourse debut today and ran a promising race to finish 2nd in the 1m 5f race at Towcester.

The debutant looked green throughout and ¬†young Jeremiah McGrath held him up, detached at the back of the field for the most part. Entering the straight , he travelled smoothly to pass a couple and tracked the leader with 3f remaining. Unfortunately, ¬†when Jeremiah went for home , The Ferick began to wander and he struggled to keep him in a straight line. The more experienced winner “Dirty Bertie” held the rail and went on to win by 3 lengths with our fella finishing second.

This was a very promising run and he will come on leaps and bounds as a result. With experience and a 2m trip, we will be in the winners enclosure sooner rather than later.

This is our second runners up spot from 2 runs with our bumper horses. We still have shares left in both Mitchells Way and The Ferick, both trained by the bumper king Alan Swinbank. Contact us for details.

Exciting times ahead……..
