Tim Easterby Stable Visit – 9 May

We had a great morning at Tim Easterby’s Habton Grange yard, despite the blustery conditions. Owners turned out in force and were treated to an informative morning watching the horses gallop followed by a yard tour led by Tim.

Sakhees Return looks well. He had worked early morning as a decision needed to be made on declaration at Musselburgh or wait for York. After a pleasing workout, we’ll wait for York Wednesday.

Flying Pursuit and Isla Rose did a steady canter for us and stretched out nicely. The colt will go to Beverley Tuesday and the filly will now step up in her work ahead of her seasonal plan.

Fast Shot is up at Easthorpe and will go to York Wednesday. He’s in good order and the unsettled weather is welcome news for him, if not the rest of us!

A morning rich in information and catching up with good friends was rounded off with a hot drink and sausage butty courtesy of Sarah and Nicky.

We look forward to the racing this week, but there’s fewer better ways to spend a Saturday morning than at Habton Grange. Many thanks to Tim, family and team for making us feel so welcome. x
