Description

We are delighted to secure this smashing Adaay filly with up and coming young trainer – Tom Ward. Tom was assistant to Richard Hannon and has now set up on his own in Lambourn.

The sire – Adaay was a dual Group 2 winning son of the mighty Kodiac who was trained by William Haggas. He won the Group 2 Sandy Lane Stakes over 6 furlongs and he also won the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes over 7 furlongs. He is the first son of Kodiac to stand at stud in the UK. His first foals sold for 180,000gns, 67,000gns & 55,000gns. He was known to be a precocious 2yo winning his first two races in May and June.

The Dam – Showstoppa who is by Showcasing won 4 times at 2 & 3 years of age. She is the dam of 1 runner from 1 foal – Avengers Queen who won 2 races this year as a 2 year old including the listed Premio Vittorio Crespi in Italy.

She is every inch a 2-y-0 from a very fast family. She is a Febuary 1st foal and has the strength and scope to make into a really nice racehorse. All in all it’s a very impressive and convincing page with a lot going for the filly. The filly is a strong, athletic type who starts her training career straight away.

Whitsbury Manor Stud, owners of sires Showcasing and Adaay are keeping a very large share as an investment.

Tom on the Adaay filly:
“Delighted to have Ontoawinner in the yard and I cant wait to train this smashing filly by a top sire. She looks to have an awful lot going for her.”

This filly also qualifies for the Plus 10 scheme being by a stallion resident in GB or Ireland, where qualified horses earn an additional £10,000 should they win a class 4 maiden or above on top of the normally allocated prize money for the race victory as well as an additional £10,000 for each subsequent win in a class 4 to class 2 novice or conditions or nursery race.
