Description

We are delighted to offer this beautiful bay colt by Big Bad Bob. He is in training with the very astute Gay Kelleway.

Big Bad Bob won four of his six outings as a 2-year-old for trainer John Dunlop, including Ascot’s Listed Autumn S. He opened his 3-year-old campaign with a second to subsequent G1 Epsom Derby scorer Kris Kin in the G3 Dee S., but bypassed the Classics in favour of Royal Ascot. That dream failed to materialise when the dark bay was last of eight in the G2 King Edward VII S., but he rebounded thereafter to take a 10 1/2-furlong Haydock conditions race followed by France’s Listed Prix Ridgway, and Germany’s G3 Furstenberg-Rennen two weeks later. Big Bad Bob raced until age five, retiring with eight wins from 22 starts and earnings of £122,851.

The dam – Lady Natilda was a winner at 2 and placed a further 8 times. She is the dam of 8 previous foals of which all have run and she has produced 6 winners, an impressive broodmare.

Gay thinks a lot of our colt. He takes everything in his stride at home and is impressive in his work.

This Colt also qualifies for the new Plus 10 scheme being by a stallion resident in GB or Ireland, where qualified horses earn an additional £10,000 should they win a class 4 maiden or above on top of the normally allocated prize money for the race victory as well as an additional £10,000 for each subsequent win in a class 4 to class 2 novice or conditions or nursery race. Its a fabulous new initiative and replaces the Racing Post Yearling Bonus and BOBIS Schemes previously.
