Description

Ontoawinner are rapidly getting a reputation of being very capable purchasers of fillies.

Quiet Reflection, Ticking Katie, Katie’s Diamond, Little Lady Katie, Seduce Me and Quiet Moment are testament to the theory that there is more than luck at play. John Quinn bought this Delegator filly from the leading consignors Mocklershill at the recent Goresbridge Breeze Up sale and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to buy into her. We did very well at this sale, buying Quiet Moment among other nice horses, for little money.

Delegator is a first season sire who was 2nd in The St James Palace Stakes and was the winner of The Duke of York Stakes.

Delegator is doing well as a stallion. He has produced two winners from his nine runners, very respectable considering he will produce back end 2-y-0s and nicer 3-y-0s. He has stamped this filly very well, she is the image of the sire. We like to see that, as you can tell by the purchase of Quiet Reflection, who has the same markings as Showcasing, her brilliant sire.  She is very correct, and is a nice big strong filly with the scope to be a nice filly for several years, not just a 2-y-0. From her homework we are confident she will win a maiden.

Her dam was a winner, and this March 10th foal is her first produce. The second dam was a 2-y-0 winner and has produced winners. The third dam was a superstar, being a black type winner, and she then had a hugely successful broodmare career, delivering Azamour and Arazan, both sires.

Our filly could be anything and we were allowed to see her canter before we bought into her. After a good breeze at the sales, and following a good viewing on the Malton gallops, we are happy to add another nice filly to the already high quality Ontoawinner string.
