Bayelsa Boy.

This April colt is a real 2-y-0. He was bought from Ballyhane who we bought Parnassian from. He is by the hugely impressive sire Elzaam who is having a superb season, churning out winners.

Elzaam was a highly rated Gr.1 sprinter whose career was cut short due to a gallops accident. He’s an exceptionally good-looking horse, in the mould of his grandsire Danehill. Our colt has been well stamped by the sire.

The dam, Extraordinary, is by the sire Swain. She is a dam of 2 runners and one winner. Her son Bardubai, a full brother to our colt, realised £120,000 at the Newmarket Craven Breeze Up sales earlier this year after posting the 14th fastest breeze of the sales book. He is in training with Shadwell and is thought to be quite nice.

The second dam was the Champion filly in Italy and produced the Group winning Haami. The third dam produced the sire Erhaab. So far each generation of the damline has produced a serious horse.

All in all it’s a very impressive page with a lot going for the colt.

We were delighted to be able to secure this colt from Joe Foley, who recommended Parnassian to us, and recommended this colt highly. He goes into training with Tim Easterby who thinks a lot of our yearling.
