Description

This April colt is a real 2-y-0. He was bought from Ballyhane who we bought Parnassian from. He is by the hugely impressive sire Elzaam who is having a superb season, churning out winners.

Elzaam was a highly rated Gr.1 sprinter whose career was cut short due to a gallops accident. He’s an exceptionally good-looking horse, in the mould of his grandsire Danehill. Our colt has been well stamped by the sire.

The dam, Shaanbar, is by the sire Darshaan. Darshaan produces some lovely mares. She is a dam of two 2-y-0 winners from 2 runners. Elzaam is the speediest stallion she’s been sent to so we are very confident we’ve bought another 2-y-0 winning colt here.

The second dam was a seven time winner. The third dam is a full sister to Shining Water, the winner of the Solario Stakes who was also 2nd in the Park Hill Stakes. Shining Waters is the dam of the stallion Tenby. The 3rd dam also produced several black type performers.

All in all it’s a very impressive and convincing page with a lot going for the colt. The colt is a good looking racey son of Elzaam, who walks well and moves like an athlete.

We were delighted to be able to secure this colt from Joe Foley at Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sales, who recommended Parnassian to us at this sale last year, and recommended this colt highly to us and Karl Burke. We’ve secured the colt for little money and he needs to go on your short list for the 2017 season.
