We are delighted to welcome Dave Loughnane to the Ontoawinner team ahead of the 2022 season.

We secured one of our top targets in a very vibrant Tattersalls yearling sale and believe we have secured a gem for next season.

Holy Roman Emperor needs no introduction. He stands at Coolmore and was timeforms highest every rates 2 year old by Danehill, he is also a 2 time European Champion 2YO Sire. His performers include – Romanised (Irish 2,000 Guineas-Group 1, Prix Jacques le Marois-Group 1, Minstrel Stakes-Group 2 (x2), Homecoming Queen (1,000 Guineas-Group 1) and many more. He is a superb stallion producing consistent quality.

The dam – Atamana is by Lahib. She was a winner at 3 years of age and also placed twice. She is the dam of 7 winners from 10 runners, most notably – Mulaqat who was a winner of 8 races and £161 k in prize money, these include 2 listed races and 1 Group 3 race.

This colt has a very strong page and will be aimed at the very top races. Both ourselves and Dave loved him and think he could have a big future ahead of him.

About Loughnane

Dave has had a love and passion for horses for as long as he can remember. With no background in racing he started off working for a small trainer back home in Galway, at the age of 13. He spent a number of years working there at weekends, summer holidays and often when he should have been at school!
