Description

We are delighted to offer another exciting type with Karl Burke by the very exciting sire Ivawood.

Ivawood engendered early hopes of eventually claiming the title of champion 2yo when producing two of the best performances seen in the July Stakes and Richmond Stakes in recent times. He won the Richmond Stakes-Gr.2 and July Stakes-Gr.2 in a faster time than Shalaa. He defeated 2015 European Champion Sprinter Muhaarar on the two occasions they met at 2 years!

By Zebedee who was leading first-season sire in 2014 with 31 individual winners and out of a half-sister to Gr.2 winning 2yo Berkshire. His first crop hit the track in 2019.

Ivawood was known as a big strapping sprinting type and our colt looks to have been well stamped by his sire.

The dam – Precautionary was placed 4 times at 2 & 3. She is the dam of 8 foals, all of whom have run. She has produced 4 winners. Our colt is a half brother to the Hugo Palmer trained Curiosity, a 99 rated winner of 2 of his 8 starts.

This colt is a nice athletic type with a nice attitude. He moves well, is well put together and has been stamped well by his sire. We like a yearling who looks like his sire. He has plenty of bone and is bred well with loads of speed on both sides of the family.
