Description

We are delighted to add another to the string with Keith Dalgleish for the 2020 season.

We bought this cracking colt by Mehmas at the Premier yearling sale and we believe we have got one of the bargains of the sale.

Mehmas was one of the most consistent and toughest 2-year-olds of his generation. A winner or placed in each of his 8 starts at 2. He was the winner of the July Stakes Gr.2 and the Vintage Stakes Gr.2, the most anticipated juvenile races of the early racing season during the famous Newmarket July and Glorious Goodwood Festivals. 2nd only to Churchill in the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes Gr.1, also placed in the Middle Park Stakes Gr.1. He is by proven Sire of Sires Acclamation, out of the prolific family of Classic horses Avenir Certain, Luso, Warrsan and Needle Gun.

The dam – Question has produced 6 runners, 3 winners – most notably Clem Fandango who was a listed winner & Group 3 placed horse , winning 115k prize money. She was trained by Keith so he knows the family well.

This colt is a fantastic mover and surely one of the bargains of the sale.

Keith Dalgleish on the Mehmas colt 11th March 2020:
“He is doing some very good work on the gallops and leads up my other 2-year-olds. I absolutely love his attitude and I would be very surprised if he wasn’t winning races before May. He has a lot of quailty and is a horse I hold in very high regard. ”
