We were delighted to have purchased this colt at the recent Tattersalls Ireland yearling sales with Karl Burke. Karl believes we have got one of the bargains of the sales. He truly is a stunning looking horse.

The regally bred Morpheus, a half-brother to Frankel was a winner of 3 of his 8 starts before his career was cut short by injury. He becomes the fourth son of the Stakes winning Danehill mare Kind to take up stud duties. Her other sire sons are the undefeated Champion 2, 3 and 4 year old Frankel who won a record 9 consecutive Gr1 races and was awarded a record Timeform Annual Rating of 147. Based at Banstead Manor Stud Frankel’s first crop are now foals of 2014. Kind’s other son at stud is the Group winner Bullet Train, who was also placed in the Gr1 Sussex Stakes and Gr1 Lockinge Stakes and who resides at Crestwood Farm in Kentucky. Morpheus is also full brother to the Stakes winning filly Joyeuse.

The dam – Miss Glitters is a winner of 3 races and placed a further 5 times. She is the dam of 2 winners from 3 runners of racing age.

All in all, it’s a hugely impressive page. We are very excited to see what next season holds for this reasonable priced colt.
