We are delighted to offer this cracking filly by Society Rock bought from top quality consignors Yeomanstown stud, who stand Dark Angel.
We are huge fans of the sire having had great success with Corinthia Knight & Quiet Endeavour. Society Rock’s top produce is ‘Unfortunately’ who won the Group 1 Prix Morny as a two year old for Karl Burke and is now standing at Cheveley Park stud.
The Dam, Best Steps was placed in France. She has produced 2 Foals of racing age with our filly being the second produce. The first produce and half-sister to ours is named – El Morro by Havana Gold who won at 2.
We thought this filly was fantastic value for the money, she is the sort of filly that didn’t show herself well enough on the day to make good money and slipped through the net so we could get her, a system we have done well with in the past as we bought Corinthia Knight for €15,000 and he has now won over £200,000 including a winning a Listed race, being the All-Weather three year old sprinter and also being Group 3 placed having finished 2nd in the Sirenia Stakes.
She is perfect for someone who wants to dip their toe into a horse that didn’t cost the world but came recommended by the consigners who are very shrewd. She should be winning races at 2 and we are glad she is in the yellow and white silks of Ontoawinner.
Richard Fahey on Society Rock x Best Steps Filly:
“I thought this filly was great value at the price we paid, she breezed ok but was still a bit green and wouldn’t want the fast ground that it was on the day, I think we saw her on the wrong day as did the consignors who were gutted with her breeze as they had her as a 25k filly at least, we’ve stolen her, simple as that! Come and see her, I’m sure you will see what I saw, potential”.
