The third part of our season preview focuses on our horses with George Boughey, Tim Easterby, Kevin Ryan & Archie Watson.

Denim Shorts
Age: 2
Comment: She is a 2-year-old filly by Galileo Gold. The dam – Wee Jean was a fantastic horse and achieved a rating of 105 during a stellar career in which she was placed twice at listed level, was 5th in the Group 1 Matron Stakes and earned prize money just shy of 100k. Our filly is coming along well and it looks like she could be an early, sharp filly. We are vey happy with her progress and look forward to her racecourse debut.

Mehdinah
Age: 2
Comments: She is a 2-year-old filly by Mehmas out of Fayreway who was placed at 2. She is the dam of 1 winner from 1 runner – Lang Toun Lady (by Sir Prancealot) who was a winner at 2 years and placed 4 times. Our filly has been showing good speed on the gallops and the has been delighting us in her work. She should be out fairly early.

So Dubai
Age: 3
Comments: He is a 59 rated, 3-year-old Gelding by Pride of Dubai. He is a lightly raced gelding, having only run 3 times to date. He was a big 2-year-old who had one or two little niggles so we decided to give him a long break to allow him to mature. He is back in full work and is really pleasing us. He will be ready to run at the start of the flat season and he should be up to winning race this year.

Triple Jaye
Age: 3
Comments: She is a 3-year-old filly by Charming Thought. She was a big backward 2-year-old who has needed time to develop. She is now in full training and is in fantastic order. Tim is looking forward to getting her to the racetrack as she has been showing a good level of ability, we look forward to seeing her on the track.

Temper Trap
Age: 4
Comments: He is a 56 rated, 4-year-old bay gelding by Slade Power. He is a dual-purpose horse who has won 2 races on the flat and had a couple of spins over hurdles. He has wintered well and has really filled out. He has shown us enough to suggest he can win more races and I think he will be a fun horse for his owners this year.

Xcelente
Age: 4
Comments: He is a 75 rated, 4-year-old bay gelding by Exceed and Excel. He is a winner of 2 races and placed a further 4 times. He is a tall horse who has wintered particularly well and has really filled his big frame. He is working well and looks a horse capable of winning more races this year.

Amadeus Grey
Age: 5
Comments: He is a 75 rated, 5-year-old grey gelding by Zebedee. He has been a great horse for his owners, winning 5 races and placing 7 times. He has come back in great order and has been working well. He will be campaigned on the all-weather and then revert to the grass. He is still showing us enough to suggest there are still more wins in him.

Staxton
Age: 6
Comments: He is a 91 rated, 6-year-old bay gelding by Equiano. He has been a wonderful syndicate competing in all the top 6 furlong handicaps, winning 6 times and placing a further 7 times winning over £126,000 in prizemoney. He is in full work now and is thriving at the moment. He will be ready to run when the new flat season starts and he is a horse that looks set for another good year.

Suitcase N Taxi
Age: 7
Comments: He is a 7-year-old bay gelding Major Cadeaux. He has a current rating 77 on the all weather and 73 on turf. He is a winner of 8 races and placed 7 times. He picked up an injury last summer and we have had to give him some time to recover. He is now back into work and all is going well to date. He should be ready to run in the early part of the new flat season. He looks to have a nice handicap mark and should still win more races.

Sheriff Garrett
Age: 8
Comments: He is a 7 year old bay gelding by Lawman. Current rating 110 over hurdles and 63 on the flat. He is a winner of 2 hurdle races and 2 flat races and has been placed a further 12 times over hurdles and the flat. He won well last time out over hurdles and looks to be back to his best. He looks to still have plenty in hand and should be up to winning more races this year.

Flying Pursuit
Age: 8
Comments: He is a 85 rated, 8 year old bay gelding by Pastoral Pursuit. He is a winner of 8 races and has been placed a further 12 times winning just short of £200,000. He is a fantastic syndicate horse competing in all the top sprint handicaps throughout his career. He still has zest for life and is working well. He will be ready to run at the start of the flat season and he is sure to give his owners plenty of good days at the races.

Age: 3
Comments: She is a 75 rated, 3-year-old filly by Hot Streak. She is a winner of 1 race and has been placed twice from 5 starts. We have let her have a long break as she got very tall and weak. She has wintered well and is back in full training and pleasing us. She looks a lot stronger now and we think she is very capable of winning more races this year.

Heidi High
Age: 2
Comments: She is a 2-year-old filly by Fast Company Fast Company was the highest-rated juvenile from the Danehill line ever. He was a lightly raced top-class 2 year old. He was a very easy winner of the Group 3 Acomb Stakes and runner-up to New Approach in the Group 1 Dewhurst. He is the sire of Classic winner Jet Setting and the Group 2 Norfolk hero Baitha Alga from his first two crops. He is also the sire of last season’s Group 1 Arlington Million hero Robert Bruce. The dam Takizada by Sendawar was placed 3 times at 2 and 3 in France. She is the dam of 2 winners from 4 runners, most notably Starlight Romance – a winner of 4 aces and 70k in prize money. This filly has been showing a lot of speed on the gallops and we expect her to be out early. Her work has been forward and she is a filly we have been able to crack on with. She is a very nice filly who looks to have a very bright future.

Age: 2
Comments: She is a 2 year old bay filly by the first season stallion El Kabeir who was a top-class miler in America wining 4 graded races. The dam Best New Show by Clodavil was a winner at 3 and placed a further 3 times. She is an own sister to Maid In Heaven who was a black type filly. She is the dam of 1 winner from 1 runner – Go Well Spicy who was a winner at 2 and went on to win a further 3 races and 20k in prize money. This filly is a good mover with a great attitude and has done tremendously well who has been showing a good level of ability. She is likely to need 6 furlongs as a starting point so won’t be out in the first month of the season. A nice filly who we are looking forward to seeing on the racecourse.

Pepperwort
Age: 2
Comments: He is a 2-year-old bay colt by the stallion revelation of 2020 Mehmas. Mehmas was one of the most consistent and toughest 2-year-olds of his generation. A winner or placed in each of his 8 starts at 2. He was the winner of the July Stakes Gr.2 and the Vintage Stakes Gr.2, the most anticipated juvenile races of the early racing season during the famous Newmarket July and Glorious Goodwood Festivals. 2nd only to Churchill in the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes Gr.1, also placed in the Middle Park Stakes Gr.1. He is by proven Sire of Sires Acclamation, out of the prolific family of Classic horses Avenir Certain, Luso, Warrsan and Needle Gun. The dam Dittander was a winner of 2 races at 2 years of age. She is the dam of 2 runners from 2 previous foals, both of whom placed at 2. Our colt oozes class. A lovely strong colt with a tremendous attitude to his work. We could not be happier with the colt’s progress and we think he is a very exciting prospect.

Amor Di Ma Veda
Age: 3
Comments: She is a 70 rated, 3-year-old bay filly Dabirsim. She is a winner of 1 race and placed 3 times. She has done well for her winter break and looks to be on a competitive handicap mark. She is from a family that tends to get better as they mature. She will be ready to start at the start of the new flat season and I would like to think she is up to winning more races this year.

Secret Handsheikh
Age: 3
Comments: He is a 88 rated, 3-year-old bay gelding by Mayson. He is a winner of 3 races and 1 place. He has done tremendously well in recent months winning 2 races on the all-weather. He looks a progressive gelding and we plan to give him another run or 2 on the all weather before he goes back onto turf. I would like to think there are still more wins in the horse.

Portugueseprincess
Age: 4
Comments: She is a 75 rated, 4-year-old bay filly by Camacho. She is a winner of 1 race and 6 places. She has been busy throughout the winter and has been running ok. She will have a couple more runs on the all weather and then go onto the turf. I am sure there are more wins to be had with her.

Corinthia Knight
Age: 5
Comments: He is a 6 year old chestnut gelding by Society Rock. Current rating 92. He is a winner of 12 races and 13 places winning over £327,000. What a star and a superb syndicate horse he has been. Running in stakes races all over the world. We have given him a long break as he had been on the go a very long time and fully deserved a good break. He has come back in in great order and looks fantastic. He is a very genuine horse who gives his all in his races. I would like to think he is still up to winning more races this year and is sure to give his owners more fun.
